Who are we?
Blue House Fragrances (formally known as The Ultimate Candle Co.) is a small business located in Owensboro, Kentucky. We sell hand made candles using 100% Soy wax that is locally grown, high quality fragrances infused with essential oils & natural cracking wooden wicks. Our candles are petroleum-free, cruelty-free and phthalate-free. My vision from the start was to create a minimalistic, yet beautiful designed candle collection with scents that will fill your homes and hopefully bring you some joy. Behind the maker
Hi! My name is Madison Jones, founder of Blue House Fragrances. I was born and raised in Owensboro, Kentucky and I am a mother to 4 amazing boys whom I owe my life to. Growing up, I loved to read books, make art and listen to music. I have always enjoyed pretty much anything that I could get my hands on to be creative and use my imagination. Art was always my passion and an therapeutic outlet for me! I started working as a bartender when I was 20 years old and for nearly 10 years I was able to have a job that I could be myself and use my creativity within mixology. Unfortunately, the bar that I worked at shut down. I had moved on to the corporate world and slowly but surely, the creative side of me completely went away. I spent two years in the cycle of "adulthood" if you will. My days were filled with going to work, coming home, taking care of the kids and my passions and dreams had been put on the backburner.
Fast forward two years later. I was sitting at home just thinking about something that I could do to get creative again. I stumbled upon the art of candle making and I fell in love with it. I began my journey learning everything there is to know about making candles and starting a business. I became deeply immersed in the art and science of it all. The name "Blue House" came from the house that I was raised in, the dynamic of the family home helped mold me into who I am today. I now spends my days working on marketing and product development for Blue House. I am constantly researching, working my full time job, chasing my kids
around, and practicing some sort of art form within Candle Making. I am so blessed to be where I am today.
